Na plech / Wasted on Metal

solo exhibition, Walk Thru Gallery, Hradec Králové, 2020

Interview: CZ / ENG (questions by Eva Hronovská)

Exhibition brings together a selection of metal works assembled from found and discarded materials. Bottle tops, thin metal sheets, stitched fragments, and salvaged surfaces were treated not as waste, but as image-bearing matter. The exhibition focused on forms that stand somewhere between icon, mask, shield, ornament, and bodily remainder. These works do not represent metal so much as think through it: through its hardness, fragility, reflectiveness, and capacity to carry traces of use. Rather than polished sculpture, the works remain close to improvisation, repair, and accumulation. Their visual language emerges from simple gestures: cutting, piercing, flattening, layering, stitching, and attaching.

This exhibition is part of the broader body of Metal Works.
